Refund policy

We want the Riffy Pro purchase experience to feel fair and low-risk.

This Refund Policy explains when refunds are generally available for Riffy Pro, which is sold as a one-time purchase. It is written to be easy to understand, but your mandatory rights under applicable law still apply even if they are more protective than this policy.

Riffy is a software product and private project operated by Bogdan Malizhev, FOP.

1. Short version

If this is your first Riffy Pro purchase, you can generally request a refund within 14 days of purchase.

We also aim to help with common problems such as:

  • accidental duplicate purchases,
  • mistaken charges,
  • and major technical incompatibility that prevents reasonable use of the product.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to purchases of Riffy Pro made through our current checkout flow. The product is operated by Bogdan Malizhev, FOP, while Paddle acts as the payment provider and merchant of record for the checkout transaction.

If your purchase was made through a different reseller, app store, bundle, or promotional channel, that channel’s refund rules may apply instead.

3. Refunds we will usually approve

We will generally approve a refund when:

  • you made your first Riffy Pro purchase and request a refund within 14 days,
  • you were charged more than once for the same purchase by mistake,
  • you were charged after a clear billing error,
  • or the product has a major technical issue or compatibility problem that we cannot reasonably resolve.

If you report a technical problem, we may first ask for basic troubleshooting details so we can confirm the issue and try to help.

4. Refunds we may decline

We may decline a refund request when:

  • the request is made more than 14 days after purchase, unless local law requires otherwise,
  • the request relates to repeated refund claims that suggest abuse of the policy,
  • the purchase appears fraudulent or unauthorized and should instead be handled through the payment provider or card issuer process,
  • or the request does not include enough information for us or Paddle to identify the order.

We do not intend to apply this section harshly. If something went wrong, we still encourage you to contact us and explain the situation.

5. How to request a refund

To request a refund, contact us at support@riffy.app and include:

  • the email used for the purchase or your Riffy account,
  • your Paddle receipt or order reference, if available,
  • the date of purchase,
  • and, for technical issues, a short description of the problem, your device, and your operating system.

We aim to review refund requests within 14 days.

6. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method used at checkout.

Because Paddle is the merchant of record, refund processing may be completed by Paddle or through systems Paddle controls. After approval, the time it takes for funds to appear can depend on your bank or payment method.

7. Duplicate purchases and billing mistakes

If you think you were charged twice or billed incorrectly, please contact us as soon as possible. We will review the transaction details and, where appropriate, arrange a refund or correction.

8. Technical compatibility issues

Riffy Pro includes desktop-only features, and performance may depend on your operating system, device, and audio workflow.

If a major compatibility problem prevents normal use, please contact us within the refund window. We may ask you to try reasonable troubleshooting steps first, but if the issue cannot be resolved, we will generally try to handle it fairly.

This policy is in addition to any rights you may have under consumer protection laws that apply in your location. If local law gives you a longer cancellation period or other mandatory refund rights, those rights are not limited by this policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version published on this page applies to future purchases from the time it becomes effective, unless applicable law requires a different result.
